Sirius of the Week for Dec. 26, 1999 - Jan. 1, 2000
Jewel is a two-year old Miniature Poodle. No one knows exactly when
she was born. She was going to be euthenized when her person-mom
saved her.
When Jewel was first adopted, she was all matted and dirty. It took
9 hours to clip her and clean her up. She was so exhausted, that she
fell asleep while being groomed. Even after her extensive grooming
that day, she still doesn't mind being groomed and will let her
face be clipped without a fuss.
Jewel loves to go for walks during which she tries to go everywhere
and pulls on the leash constantly.
Jewel has an adopted brother named Mario, who is also a Miniature
Poodle, but smaller. So she will wack him on the head when she wants
to steal his prized bone away from him. She will also dance on her
hind legs when she wants attention. Which she gets because she is
so sweet and cute.
