Zeke is an 85-pound, chocolate lab/Chesapeake Bay retriever mix.
He's going on 13 years, but is handling the aging process very well
(he's on aspirin and glucosamine therapy for his hip arthritis).
Zeke's person-dad adopted him from the animal shelter ten-plus years
ago, when Zeke was about two years old. He had been rescued by animal
control from an abusive environment. Everyone thought it was a crazy
idea to adopt an adult dog with such a negative history. But
Zeke's dad says, "I would do it all again in a heartbeat. He's the
best!"
