Sirius of the Week for August 20 - 26, 2000
Caesar lives with his human parents, Tom and Ann Jennifer,
in Wilmington, MA. He was adopted from an animal shelter in March 1999.
The family he had been living with said they couldn't keep him
anymore because their landlord wouldn't let them. A common excuse.
He was about a year old and looked to be
of German Shepherd/Doberman mix. Although his current humans had been
looking for a younger dog, they knew Caesar's size was against him
and that he probably didn't have much of a chance at being adopted,
so they decided to take him home and are so
glad they did. He is just the best!
This year they decided to adopt another, and Caesar now has a "little
brother" to play with. They are not only brothers but they're also
best friends. How they love to play together! Caesar and Scout are
hoping that more people who are looking for a pet to love will
consider going to their local shelter and
adopting. There are so many wonderful pets there who, like them,
deserve that second chance.
