Our star this week is Suzuki and his person-mom writes:
"My dog's name is Suzuki, but I call him Zuke for short. He is a
pitbull/husky mix. I got Zuke after I was recovering from a loss in
the family. He was just what I needed! He was found running loose
near the freeway, someone caught him and brought him to a friend.
They didn't want him because they already had five dogs, so she
advertised him as up for adoption. No one wanted him because he was
pitbull (he was advertised as an akita mix). So the lady was just
going to shoot him. But I took him home for a 'trial' to see how he
worked out (that's what my dad said) and Zuke never went back! He's
also a great leader on my sleddog team."
