Sirius of the Week for Nov. 27 - Dec. 3, 2005
Fiona is our star this week, and her person-mom writes,
"This is Fiona. I've only had her a short while, but she is a GEM! She's a Golden
Retriever/German Shephard mix that I saved in the parking lot of a local, high-kill
shelter, just before her owner was to turn her in. She's about 1 1/2 years old and is so
gentle and loving for having led such a hard life in the short time she's been here.
She wants to be where ever her mommy is, touching or sometimes cleaning her feet, LOL.
Fiona's favorite toy is a tennis ball; she'll chase it for hours if I let her.
If she's not chasing one, she is carrying it around the house with her. We haven't quite
figured out her favorite treat yet, but it's not Snausages.
"When she's playing outside, I just love how she cocks her ears back
if she's waiting for the ball or just playing in general. She is quickly becoming the
love of my life. I couldn't ask for a better friend or companion."
