Sirius of the Week for March 7 - 13, 2004
Our submitter writes,
"Snickerdoodle Doo CGC, or Snickers for short, is our nine month old
Miniature Dachshund. He is a neutered, red dapple male with one blue
eye. He is very good looking. We started him in obediance training,
and he is doing fine in his second class. A few weekends ago he competed
in his first ever earthdog trial. He did well; out
of twenty-four dogs, he was one of six to pass. In the junior level
he was too slow the first day by 14 seconds. He is doing just great
for a green dog with a green handler.
"We live outside of Dallas, Texas. Snickers lives with our female
Dogue de bordeaux (or French mastiff). They love each other and
play hard. All of our dogs have earned their Canine Good Citizen
(CGC) from the AKC. Snickers is our first and only dachshund.
We normally are bull dog type people, but his looks were stunning to
us. He loves to chase rats even if they are not real ones.
