Siriuses of the Week for Aug. 31 - Sep. 6, 2003
Our submitter has the story of 2 dogs to share:
This is Curly, a white, 10 month old toy French poodle. Some old
lady had Curly kept in a 2 foot long, 3 foot wide box at 3 months
old, very cruel. I fell in love with this poor little poodle when
I first saw him. If he's not barking for attention, he is swimming
in the pool. Curly loves to walk on the walk path with me and his
best dog friend, Teddy. He is the best thing that has happened to me
since I got my cat, who is Curly's ultimate best friend, animal or
human!
This is Teddy, a 4 month old, tan-brown white German Shepherd/Golden
Retriever mix. I got Teddy from my neighbor; she found him tick
infested. She gave him a bath, and he looked a little bit better.
She put "Found" posters up and NO one replied. So, I took Teddy in.
Since then, I have taught Teddy to sit, stay, and even "Rescue" Curly
in the pool. Teddy likes to play fetch with his old, dirty tennis
ball. He absolutely loves to go swimming with his best friend, Curly.
I love Teddy with all my heart, and he loves me. He gets along with
my cats, birds, and dog... Along with my family. He gives me
company when there is no one else to talk to. He is a fun-loving
companion."
