Their proud person-mom writes:
"C.K. Dexter Haven (or Dexter as we call him) came to us Fourth of
July weekend, 1999, from Liberty, Missouri. He just celebrated his
third birthday in May which makes him a Taurus. Dexter is every bit
the alpha of the trio and keeps a steadfast watch over his family.
He takes his "guarding" responsibilities seriously as well as keeping
his brothers "in line." In many ways, Dexter exudes a maturity beyond
his actual years. He's serious, but extremely loving. As long as you
don't let him see the nail clippers. Or tell him it's time for a bath!
"Trevor MacCauley Conner (or Trevor) came to us from Topeka, Kansas,
just two and a half months after Dexter. His birthday is at the end
of July making him a Leo. Trevor is all of the following: mother,
father, nurturer, caretaker. Trevor is truly an empathetic soul.
He seems to understand when you need extra love and care. He "escorts"
his brothers inside, "escorts" them outside, sees them to their
kennels, chides them if they dawdle and has broken up a couple of
minor disagreements between Dexter and Ian. And you cannot spell in
front of him, if you don't want him to know something. He's got every
word down!
"Ian Adrian McLeod (or Ian) came to me just before Mother's Day 2001,
from my son, Hunter. Ian hails from Tonganoxie, Kansas, and turned a
year old in March. He's a Pisces. There's no doubt, he's the baby of
the family, but he is, as we say, learning the "big boy ropes." It's
rare to see Ian quiet or unhappy. He smiles, he laughs, he enjoys
life. To Ian, everyday is an adventure. Except for a couple of brief
naps, he's a busy, playful Pug from 6 am to 10:30 pm. Trevor keeps a
close eye on Ian, helping to ensure he doesn't get into too much
trouble. The three of them are quite a trio!"
